Uh, hi. I'm a newbie, although I've been reading FF7 fics for a few years now. I don't write much anymore and my art... aheh, less said the better. But I do read. A lot. So I can give good crit if asked for.

Right now though, I am DYING for good, long fic that I haven't read 100 times over. All the authors I stalk watch are busy with RL stuff and aren't posting at the moment; which is their right, of course, but... ;_;

Anyway, does anyone have a rec they'd like to share? An author that kicks ass or a story that they never get bored with? I'm completely open to a variety of pairings, OT3's OT4's or other combos.

I have a few recs of my own, but I don't know if posting anothers work (with all due credit to the creator of course) is kosher here. Thank you all ahead of time!

To be or not to be, that is the damned question. The plot bunnies strike again as I was taking a stroll down the memory lane. A fic inside my head is begging to be written but somehow, I can't . The plot is there and so are the characters. Maybe I'm having trouble with the setting or something. All I need is inspiration and some ideas to fill the gaps. (And maybe a good night's sleep. The exams were killing my braincells...)

Angeal let out a sigh of frustration at his prodigy's antics yet again.

'"Zack, for the last time, please behave yourself!" he said as he had enough of all the shenanigans.

Zack stopped whatever he was doing and crossed his arms over his chest with a pout on his face. His mentor was a meany at times. Can't he see he was depriving the poor boy from attention?

The younger Soldier looked at him with that cute expression on his face.

"Don't look at me like that. You know it won't work anymore."

Well la-dee-dah! Angeal just developed the immunity to his secret weapon. Clever man, but he wasn't out of tricks yet!

Chapter 45 : Scars Remain

(*Your timing is abysmal; you do realize that, don’t you, my host?*)

*waves* Hello there! I just finished Crisis Core for the first time (literally, like ten mintues ago) and it made me remember a wonderful fic I read a few months back. To my horror, however, I found out I never bookmarked/faved/mem'd/whatever'd it. DX I'm hoping someone here (or on ffvii_clack where this is crossposted to -sorry for the spam) can help me.

Here's what I remember about it:
*It's Clack (obviously)
*The story is told through Cloud's POV for most, if not all of the fic
*Story starts with Cloud making a delivery in Kalm (I think)

*Cloud believes Zack is dead, but sees someone who looks remarkably like Zack getting on a bus full of mental patients. He follows the bus, talks with the doctors and finds out it is indeed Zack, but he's got Mako poisoning and can barely talk let alone remember who anyone is. There's a scene where Cloud scales the building and sits on Zack's windowsill all night, and Zack sleeps right next to him on the other side of the bars. Zack slowly gets better and he gets moved down to a lower security room and Cloud can now stay with him. On the day Zack is allowed to be released, Cloud gets a horrible headache just as they're leaving the building. He wakes up in front of Zack's doctor and Zack is sitting right next to him. Cloud is really confused and it's explained to him that it wasn't Zack, but Cloud who was in the hospital this whole time. Zack and Cloud had a falling out, Cloud experiences a mental break and believes that Zack is dead. The whole time he thought he was helping Zack recover, it was really Zack who was playing along to help Cloud recover.

*I'm not sure the story was finished...it's been a while since I last read it.

I've been driving myself crazy trying to find this story and anyone who can help will get my undying graditude. And e~cookies. :D
